"Staying in a B&B is not something we're used to, however we absolutely loved our stay at Close Mooar Farm. Steve and Fenella were so welcoming, friendly and caring, we felt as though we were treated as family! We spent 4 nights at Close Mooar during the TT. It was a great base, as Laxey is well positioned on the island for handy viewing spots. The farm is situated in a remote area, surrounded by stunning countryside. It was bliss! Breakfast each morning was of a consistently high standard - it set us up each day perfectly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We really look forward to returning to Close Mooar in the not too distant future."

Where can you find us?
Take the Coast Road into Laxey Village and you will find a large Petrol Station, Co-Op opposite, and parallel to the garage is the Baldhoon Road. Take a sharp left turning up the Baldhoon Road just before the Petrol Station and drive past the mirror on the corner, and the vegetable allotments, and then drive for approximately 1 mile until you run out of houses and you see a white cottage on the left, “Briar Cottage”. The road bears left and dips. Slow down and you will see a Bungalow with a wooden fending on the right corner called “The Ark” and the B&B sign. Take the concrete lane alongside “The Ark” and Close Mooar Farm is at the top (1/2 mile). There is plenty of turning in the Courtyard.
